Is It Better Than The Original Arlo Pro?
In October Netgear released the new Netgear Arlo Pro 2 Wireless Security Camera System. The Pro 2 system adds a few new features including 1080p video, the new "Look Back" feature, activity zone detection, and 24/7 Continuous Video Recording. The Arlo cameras are also capable of integrating with smart home devices like the echo dot, smartthings, hub and IFTTT app.
Netgear has also released the Arlo Solar Panel which works with the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 and it does a great job of keeping the cameras charged. However, it does not provide enough power to enable the "powered" features such as "Look Back", "Custom Activity Zones", and "CVR".
