I've had the Ring Doorbell for about 6 months. Ring has pushed several updates to the Ring Doorbell over the past few months. That latest update added a new feature called "Live View". This finally adds video on-demand to the doorbell, a feature that many people have been asking for. This feature only works if your Ring Doorbell is wired. It will not work if your doorbell is running on battery power.
A review of the Ring Solar Panel. The Ring Solar Panel is an accessory for the Ring Stick Up Cam that allows Live View (Video On-Demand) to be used without draining the battery. Harmony Smart Control = Harmony Companion
Harmon Home Hub = Harmony Hub
All of Logitech's hubs can be controlled using the Harmony smartphone app. All of the hubs are also capable of connecting with other smart hubs such as SmartThings, Alexa, Lutron, and Hue.
The Harmony Companion/Smart Control comes with the Harmony hub and the RF remote. The smart remote works through the Home Hub and both of them require an internet connect in order to function.
